Approach

Design Stage

Our approach is to work with the executive team to define how they wish to develop and articulate their vision. We will then produce a scope for the strategic plans that will realise this. We will also consider the most effective means of engaging all staff in the process. The output from this stage is a clear plan of how to develop, communicate and realise the vision.

Execution

The development of a strategy is an interactive process, starting with the organisation’s vision of where it wants to be, within a given timeframe, and a definition of its values or purpose. This is undertaken in a structured workshop with the executive team. To communicate the vision requires effective and consistent engagement of staff over a period of time. Communicating the vision and gaining feedback from staff on their understanding is a key element at this stage.

Follow-up

Following the vision, we will develop appropriate strategic plans across the business. Depending on the scale and complexity of the organisation, this could range from a single plan for the business, to a set of objectives or goals for individual business units and teams. In addition to the plans will be developed.

Progress will be regularly reviewed across the business, and will include measuring the implementation of any organisational change, the results the business has achieved and the perception of staff (and customers and suppliers if appropriate). Formal reviews will be undertaken with the executive to ensure that strategic planning becomes embedded in normal operations.

Strategic Planning

Being able to articulate the business vision in the form of an effective strategic plan is a key enabler for success. We work with organisations to help them

  • clarify their vision, mission and goals
  • develop strategic plans

For businesses without a defined vision, our strategic planning process will enable them to understand and define where they want to be. For businesses who have a clear vision they are confident in, we can focus on how to achieve it.
