Approach
At the first workshop the executive team undertook an initial assessment of the company using the Business Excellence Model. This enabled them to identify the key areas to be improved to deliver their objective.
Perago then worked with this executive team to produce a vision statement of where they needed to be in 5 years time and then to identify how this would be achieved. A high level change plan was developed based around transforming their processes, performance, people, safety and approach to customers/suppliers.
To communicate the vision and the high level targets a visual route map and change plan were developed and presented to the company at a number of ‘road show’ events. The management team was then involved in developing the change plan detail and engaged in implementing the improvements and efficiencies.
Results
The company has defined the roles and interfaces across the business to enable greater efficiency and customer satisfaction. Organisational structures have been changed to reflect the efficiencies and culture (e.g. less hierarchy). Process reviews and improvements (including 6 sigma) aligned with system changes have improved the effectiveness of the end to end delivery.

The company is now in a position to compete effectively in this market to deliver enhanced profit and growth. Customer, supplier and staff satisfaction levels will be monitored to ensure that the initial positive results continue to improve.
